Sage has set out its plan for AI Workspaces in Sage Intacct at its Sage Future for Partners event in Atlanta. The workspaces are designed to give finance teams one place to work with Sage-built and partner-built agents alongside the financial data, workflows and internal controls that apply to a given role.
The first workspace, for accounts payable, enters a limited rollout with selected customers in November. Sage describes the rest as a future Sage Intacct experience rather than a shipping product.
Sage says agents will handle routine tasks and flag anomalies while finance professionals review and approve the work against controls the business has set in the Sage AI platform.
The portfolio already includes the Finance Intelligence Agent, which answers natural-language questions about Intacct data, plus agents for accounts payable, period close, assurance, time entry and nonprofit benchmarking. A Cash Agent and an AR Agent are planned. Customers can find and activate partner-built agents through the Sage Agent Marketplace, which is available now, and invoke them through Sage Copilot with permissions set in the agent management console.
Jon Fasoli, SVP of Sage Intacct, framed the aim as keeping control in step with automation. "Finance teams shouldn't have to choose between AI-native ways of working and the controls, governance and trust they rely on to run their business," he said.
