Royal Warrant for Computer Firm Crowned Britain’s Best Rural Business

A Sussex computer firm named Britain’s best rural business in a prestigious awards ceremony has now been awarded a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty The Queen.

Landmark Systems Ltd, from Pulborough, was informed by Buckingham Palace in March that it had received the Royal seal of approval. The award has come hot on the heels of Landmark’s victory at the CLA and Amazon-backed Rural Business Awards, where it was crowned overall Champion of Champions at a glittering ceremony in 2016.

Landmark provides accounting and property management software, including the KEYPrime brand, to farms and estates to help them run their businesses effectively. The company has been a supplier to Royal farms and estates for ten years.

Landmark’s managing director Nigel Parsons said staff at the company were “hugely honoured” to have been given the warrant, which is in place for the next five years.

He said: “I am proud of the public recognition it conveys on our team made up of sales, administration, training, support and development staff who are the company.  They work hard to deliver a quality product and service either at Pulborough, in West Sussex, where we are based, or out on farms and estates all over the UK.  It is a very special accolade for us as software is not easily assessed and has to be judged on what it delivers over time in a business sense, and not on what it tastes of or looks like!

“As an SME, to be appointed to the family of Royal Warrant holders is an unparalleled seal of approval. It comes in Landmark’s thirtieth year of trading and in a year in which we are also the CLA Rural Business Award Champion of Champions we could not ask for a better way to celebrate.”
