Aleem Cummins

Aleem Cummins is the Group Data Analytics CTO at Computacenter Aleem Cummins is the Group Data Analytics CTO at Computacenter’s Head Office based in Hatfield in the UK, where he was appointed to drive the understanding, adoption and alignment of the newly formed data analytics function across all locations globally. He graduated from the University of Bedfordshire 1998 with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering (BSc) and has over 17 years of experience in the IT industry. The focus in data analytics started as an Application Support Engineer at Tesco in 2010. In 2012, Aleem joined John Lewis Partnership as an Application Operations Technical Analyst & Splunk Lead.  Following appointments as Release Manager in 2013 and Online Release Implementation Manager & Splunk Advocate in 2014, he joined Computacenter in 2015. Aleem is a respected expert and well-known thought leader in the data analytics world and has spoken at numerous conferences and gatherings about creating business value from data and the opportunities of cultural and technical adoption of disruptive technology. With a wealth of awards and achievements to his name, Aleem has been instrumental in winning the Worldwide Splunk Revolution Award: Enterprise in 2013, finalist at the IT Industry Awards for Big Data /Analytics Project of the Year in 2014 and been nominated for the Worldwide Splunk Revolution Award: Ninja in 2015 for John Lewis and winning Splunk Worldwide Channel Partner of the Year 2016 for Computacenter. Aleem is the only UK member of the SplunkTrust and one of the only two in Europe.
