Below i will shed some light onto the challenges employers face in this sector and why choosing a recruitment partner with experience o the market is key to finding the resource you require.

Right now, cloud computing is probably the hottest field to get into for any technical professional. The cloud is a major buzz word amongst big business and smaller organisations alike. With the world embracing the cloud there has been a massive boom in cloud related jobs. Reports on the US job market show just how much the demand for cloud skills have increased. This August there were 10,000 US job posts requiring cloud computing experience or knowledge, an increase of 92% form 2011 and by 400% since 2010!

…finding cloud specialists is becoming harder for businesses.

This years software 500 saw, 5 cloud companies added to the list. Cloud computing and management services are the number one for employer growth within the software industry with a massive 1828% increase in employees in the past year. IT Services and Consulting, second place, showed an increase in employees by a comparatively small 355%.

If you consider that these statistics only account 5 companies whose primary business is cloud and not positions within organisations, then the actual number of cloud jobs is much higher.

With fears over the security of the cloud subsiding more and more companies are set to join the cloud. A recent report predicts that jobs generated by cloud computing (globally) will increase from 6.7m to 13.8m by 2013. Creating a108% job growth within the UK alone.

With more cloud jobs than there are cloud technicians to fill them, there has never been a better time to be a cloud professional.
